This testing permeters are designed to be use on the face, the forehead specifically. A test from skin in other areas of the body will rendered inconclusive.

Our lab partner has done extensive studies comparing the T zone (which covers the forehead and nose) and U zone (which covers the cheeks and chin). As a result they didn’t observe significant differences between T and U zones for the targeted skin microbiome markers, so the test results will be accurate even if the skin on your forehead tends to be oilier than the rest of your face.

This skin health test is the most comprehensive test on the market. Our lab partner uses a method known as quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) that looks at specific markers in the skin microbiome and how they impact your client’s skin. These microbiome markers were generated in an ISO 13485 (medical devices) and CAP-accredited lab, ensuring the quality, accuracy and reliability of your client’s results.

By combining your Skin Microbiome Diversity Index and Skin Traits, we create a comprehensive Skin Profile. This profile informs our tailored recommendations, helping you address your unique skin concerns.

The test is simple to administer.

Step 1 - Register: Provide your client with the kit and have them register it at skinhealthtest.com. They'll also complete a brief quiz.

TIP: Make sure your client has your email address and that they include it during registration, so both of you receive a copy of the results.

Step 2 - Sample & Send: The next morning, before cleansing, instruct your client to apply the provided patch to their forehead for 10 seconds. Then, they can send the sample to our lab using the pre-paid envelope included in the kit.

Step 3 - Reveal:  In about 3 weeks, the skin health testing report will be emailed directly to your client.

Registration takes about 5 minutes. The registration code is located on the sample collection tube & a brief questionare is completed as part of the process. *make sure your client has your email if they would like you to recieve a copy of the report.

Once the kit is mailed it takes 2-3 weeks to process and receive the PDF report via the email(s) provided at registration.

No, the tester should follow their regular routine the night before testing.

Data is encrypted and stored on our lab partners servers stored securely on the AWS cloud.

The microbial DNA data is used to generate the report, it is stored for 6 months prior to being discarded. No human DNA is stored from the sample. If you opt in, for your deidentified sample to be used for future R&D, it will be anonymous (detached from your personal details), and stored securely.

Microbiome data is decoded from the personal data. No data is shared to third parties.
